If you've been googling salon software and every site says "AI-powered," here's the simple version of what we actually built.
Adalace is salon and spa management software. Calendar, online booking, payments, client records, staff tools, analytics. The usual stack. On top of that is Ada, an AI agent who texts your clients, books the appointment, fills a cancellation, and follows up when someone doesn't rebook. She does that around the clock and tells you what happened, instead of pinging you to go do it.
We built it at Aesthetronics in Walnut Creek, California, for salons, spas, barbershops, nail studios, tattoo shops, and med spas in the US and Canada. If you're a multi-staff shop, this is for you. If you just need a pretty booking link and a Square reader you already like, you can stop here.
Think of Adalace as the shop, and Ada as the person who never leaves the desk.
The calendar. Day and week views, time blocks, a waitlist, repeat bookings, search availability. You can put two services and two stylists on one visit and let the times overlap when that's how the floor actually works. Ada can move or cancel appointments from a text, pick a duration based on that client's history, and fill holes from her own waitlist.
Online booking. Clients can book on your site or by texting Ada. She matches the service and the person using the booking instructions you write on each service and the descriptions you write on each stylist. If you require a card or a deposit, she can hold the booking until that's done.
Texting. Two-way texts on a local number. Ada answers new leads, books first visits, confirms tomorrow, sends form links, and follows up if they walk out without a next appointment. Your staff can text Ada to reach a client instead of digging through the inbox.
Payments. A real salon POS. Terminal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, card on file, payment links, deposits, packages, vouchers, memberships, gift cards, account credit. If an employee, a booth renter, and the salon are on the same ticket, the money can split to the right merchant accounts.
Staff. Hours, geo clock-in, commissions, roles, multi-location. Ada can take commands from staff, finish tasks, and jump them to the page they're looking for.
Numbers. Sales, clients, and staff metrics that update as the day happens. Ada texts a weekly recap. You can also just ask her how you did.
The rest. Inventory alerts, purchase orders, and the full product on phone, iPad, and desktop. There's no "lite" app with half the buttons missing.
You've got more than one chair. Some people are employees, some rent a booth. Texts come in after you lock the door. You already know rebooking is the leak, you just don't have a person whose only job is plugging it.
That's the shop we built for. Independent owners who are tired of competing with chains that have a call center. Teams leaving Square, GlossGenius, Vagaro, Boulevard, Phorest, or Mindbody because the booking app they started on can't run the business they have now.
It's a weaker fit if you're truly solo and Square is already doing the job. We're not Zenoti either. If you need a franchise suite and a two-year contract, that's a different product.
Most salon software "AI" is a reminder. Client books, send a confirmation. Visit is tomorrow, send a text. That's useful. It's also a rule you could've set in 2014.
Ada is a task-based agent. You assign the work: cover the inbox, fill last-minute cancels, text people who are overdue, ask happy clients for a Google review. She reads the situation, has the conversation, and finishes the booking. You get the outcome.
You can give her new work in plain English, the same way you'd brief a manager. "If they cancel inside 24 hours, fill the slot and charge the fee." She sets that up.
| Need | What Adalace does |
|---|---|
| Front desk after hours | Ada texts, books, and reschedules. No call center. |
| Right stylist, not first open chair | Matches on specialty, personality, and rules you write |
| Mixed employees and renters | One checkout, more than one merchant account |
| No-shows | Card on file or a deposit collected by text before it's confirmed |
| Staff hours | GPS at clock-in, not tracking people all day |
| Switching | Free migration from whatever you're on |
If you want the long versions, start with Adalace vs Square, Adalace vs Vagaro, Adalace vs Boulevard, or the full feature list.
Pricing is monthly and we set it to the size of the shop. You'll get a real number on a demo, not a fake $99 tile we invented for comparison sites. Card-present processing is in line with other salon POS platforms. We can match or beat what you're paying. No Zenoti-style lock-in. Migration is free.
Don't start with another grid. Watch Ada actually book and follow up, then book a demo and put your real menu in front of her.
What is Adalace?
Salon and spa management software with an AI agent named Ada. The platform is the calendar, booking, payments, clients, and staff tools. Ada texts clients, books appointments, and handles retention 24/7.
What kinds of businesses use it?
Salons, spas, barbershops, nail studios, tattoo studios, and med spas, mostly in the US and Canada. It's built for teams, including shops that have both employees and booth renters.
Is Ada a chatbot?
No. A chatbot answers questions. Ada takes the next steps: she looks at a cancellation, texts the right person on the waitlist, talks it through, and books the replacement.
Does this replace my POS and my booking app?
Yes. That's the point. Ada runs on live calendar and payment data. You don't bolt her onto a separate Square or Vagaro account.
Who makes Adalace?
Aesthetronics, Inc., in Walnut Creek, California. The marketing site is joinadalace.com. The app your team logs into is adalace.ai.
