Geo Location Clock-In and Attendance for Salon Staff by Adalace

    Time & attendance

    Clock in from the salon.
    Review it from Attendance.

Staff punch in on their phone. GPS checks a geofence around the salon. Off-site punches still record — with a reason — and land on Attendance so a manager can approve, reject, or correct the times.

    How it works

One geofence around the business. Staff punch from their pocket. Managers work the Attendance page — logs, totals, and requests.

    Punch on the phone

Clock in, unpaid break, and clock out from the same Adalace they already use. A live timer runs while they are on the clock and holds still on a break.

GPS is a signal, not a lockout

On site, it is quiet. Off site, location off, or a fuzzy reading, they give a reason and the punch still goes through — flagged on Attendance so nobody is stranded in an open shift.

    Attendance is the record

Managers see logs, staff totals, and a queue of what needs a look. They approve or reject time-change requests. The original punch is never erased.

    Attendance

Logs, totals, and Approve or Reject.

Time Clock has two sides. Overview is the punch card and your own shifts. Attendance is the salon table: Staff Totals, Shift Log, and a person's log when you tap a name. Same date window on every view — today, this week, last two weeks, or a custom range.

    Reject

Approve applies the new times. Reject keeps the original punch. Both stay in the shift's audit history — there is no silent overwrite.

    Shift Log

Every punch, filterable by status and what needs review. Open a row for the shift file: clock in, clock out, recorded time, unpaid break, flags, and overlap.

    Exception queue

Review walks flagged shifts one by one. Missing clock-out and a broken break go to Correct times. Off-site and off-schedule can be marked reviewed without changing hours.

    Add a missed shift

If someone forgot to punch entirely, a manager adds the shift with a reason. It is audited the same way as a correction — it does not appear out of nowhere on a report.

    For staff

Your punch card. Your history. A request, not an edit.

    • Clock in, start/end unpaid break, and clock out — big buttons meant for a phone in the doorway
    • Live elapsed time that pauses on a break and keeps going if the shift crossed midnight
    • My shifts as a journal beside the punch card; tap a row for the session file
    • Request change on a closed shift: propose times, pick why, send to a manager
    • Location is read only when you punch. If you tap Don't Allow, you can still clock in — we ask why

    What needs a look

    Away from work

Punch was outside the salon geofence.

    No location / location unclear

GPS was off, denied, or not accurate enough. The punch still counted.

    No clock-out

Shift never ended. A manager writes the end time.

    Unusually long

Left running, or the recorded times do not look like a real shift.

    Break needs review

Someone clocked out with an unpaid break still open.

    Overlaps another shift

Two recorded shifts cover the same time. Compare and correct one.

    Correction requested

Staff asked to change times. Waiting on Approve or Reject.

    Off schedule

Clocked in or out outside scheduled hours. A note, not a lockout.

    Clock-in & attendance FAQ

GPS punches, shift logs, and how time-change requests get approved.

Attendance is the salon record of what was punched. Managers see Staff Totals (who is on the clock, paid hours, unpaid breaks, what needs review), a Shift Log of every punch, and a per-person log. Date presets cover today, this week, the last two weeks, or a custom range. It is recorded attendance, not payroll.
